Os computadores “tudo em um” (all-in-one) — com CPU e monitor integrados — estão no centro das atenções dos fabricantes mundiais de tecnologia. Nos Estados Unidos, o crescimento é tão forte que a International Data Corporation (IDC) prevê que eles passem dos atuais 15% do mercado de desktops para 30% até 2013. A tendência também ganha força no Brasil, onde várias empresas estão planejando lançamentos até o fim do ano.
Destacam-se entre as novidades os nettops, que, além de integrados, possuem uma capacidade de processamento menor e preço agressivo. “Acredito que os nettops possam ajudar a reverter a queda nas vendas de desktops em relação ao notebook”, diz João Martim, analista da consultoria IDC.
As principais vantagens dos integrados são a tela de cristal líquido, que consome metade da energia de um monitor de tubo, e a economia de espaço, pois são compostos apenas por tela, mouse e teclado — os demais componentes ficam instalados no gabinete do monitor. O consumo médio de energia de um computador integrado é de 100 watts/hora, enquanto uma CPU sozinha pode exigir até 250 watts/hora. No caso dos nettops, eles são indicados apenas para a execução de tarefas básicas, como acesso à internet e edição de texto.
